I work as an SEO Manager for my company and there needs to be a synergy between the SEM and SEO and if that fails you both could get the boot. I have a new marketing directer I am working with who took over the SEM. She is very bright and we are able to make the synergy thing work which makes us both look good. ROI, yeah I tried the ranking thing and the comment was, SO WHAT, it's what you did, like leads.. etc.. In house SEO's make for a very touch job. Hey Joe, agreed.
